Modern slavery statement

Approved: 14 July 2026 – Review due: July 2027

Medwyn Occupational Health's turnover is below the level at which section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires a published statement. We publish one anyway. Healthcare depends on trust, and that includes being open about how we run our business and choose our suppliers.

Our Business

We are an independent, SEQOHS-accredited occupational health provider, established in 1998 and based at the Medwyn Centre in Dorking, Surrey. Our core clinical and administrative team is small, directly employed, and works from a single site, supporting employers across the South East and nationally. Medwyn Occupational Health is the trading name of Medwyn Occupational Health Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12465471).

Our Position

We do not tolerate slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, or human trafficking in any part of our business, and we expect the same of every organisation we buy from. If we found evidence of modern slavery in a supply chain, we would act – including ending the relationship and reporting to the appropriate authorities.

Our Supply Chain

As a clinical services business operating from one site, our supply chain is short and the risk of modern slavery in our business is low. Our main categories of spend are clinical consumables and equipment, laboratory and pathology services, software and information systems, and the facilities and upkeep of the Medwyn Centre. We favour established, UK-regulated suppliers, and we keep this assessment under review as the business changes.

How We Employ

Our core team is employed directly. Where we engage associate clinicians to support our services, the same standards apply: we verify each person's right to work in the UK, check professional registration with the GMC or NMC for every clinician, and pay fairly. We never charge candidates fees at any stage of recruitment.

Raising Concerns

Anyone working at or with Medwyn can raise a concern about modern slavery or unethical practice directly with the Medical Director, in confidence and without fear of reprisal. Our team is small enough that these commitments are discussed openly rather than taught through formal training – everyone knows how to raise a concern.

Review and Sign-off

This statement is reviewed annually. It was approved by Dr Stewart Tomlinson, Medical Director, on 14 July 2026.
